Feel Good FAQs
Sizing :
The choice of size depends on your height and flexibility. If you kneel and can sit on your feet without tightness in your thighs or knees, you can probably use a small. If you need a little elevation off your feet, a medium should do great. If you feel tight in the thighs and need an extra inch or two then a large would be best. The XS size is good if you are more flexible or 5 ft or less or 5-11 yrs old. I am 6 ft 4 and use a medium or large. If you are deciding between two sizes, the taller bench will put slightly more pressure where the knees contact the floor but also ease tightness in the thigh muscles. You can exchange your bench for an alternate size for a $10 shipping fee in the continental US ( more if shipping farther).
How do I sit on the Feel Good Bench?
For a video tutorial please visit our YouTube page. Written directions are below.
Kneel in a level place with your hips above your knees. Place the bench over your legs with the finger hole in the front.
Lean forward sliding your hands down the bench legs to the ground/floor.
Push the bottom of the bench legs outward as far as they will go. They will be slightly wider than the width of the bench and lock in place.
Sit back and settle into an upright, relaxed posture.
It is common to hear a pop sound when you first put weight on the bench. This is just the cable setting into place. Take a deep breath and exhale slowly.
How much bodyweight can the Feel Good Bench hold?
250 pounds! It is guaranteed to 250lbs on a slick hard surface where the legs can slide out. It can hold a lot more weight on a carpet or surface where the legs are held in place.
Can I change the height of the bench?
We have a larger and smaller adult bench available as well as a kids size (smaller and less wide).
If you want to experience the different heights of sitting you can also place more padding under your knees.
You can also place sticks, or blocks of wood under the front or back section of both legs but this is a bit trickier and will void the warranty if the bench breaks. Try at your own risk.
What happens if my Feel Good Bench breaks?
If it is a magnet/ washer problem we will send a repair kit with instructions.
If it is a wood or cable issue and was purchased less than 2 years ago send us a picture and tell us how it happened. We will send a replacement of the same size but possibly different wood materials as they change from time to time.
Can I return my bench?
Please read our SHIPPING + RETURN POLICIES for more information.
What are the recommended uses for the Feel Good Bench?
Meditate
Sit at a floor desk
Bring it on a camping trip or to a music festival
Pack in your travel bag and use it in your hotel room or Airbnb
Pack in your backpack and use it on top of a mountain
This bench is for sitting ANYWHERE and EVERYWHERE.
What if my bench gets wet?
This bench water-resistant. It is finished with Danish Oil that provides a protective coating while leaving a natural open grain texture. If it gets wet the wood may feel less smooth. Applying furniture wax or oil can return it to its original condition. We like “Feed and Wax” by Howard. 220 grit sandpaper can help if you desire a more smooth surface.
Anything else I should know about caring for my Feel Good Bench?
If left in direct sun for a prolonged period of time with the legs facing up, the legs can warp enough so that the magnets do not hold the legs closed. To avoid this leave the seat of the bench facing up or even better, cover the bench with something.
